What this site is

CliWorks publishes instructional notes about command line software maintained by other people. The notes are informational and are provided free of charge.

Verify before you rely on it

Commands shown here were run at the version stated, on the system stated. Software changes, and a command that worked in testing can behave differently in your environment - a different distribution, a different shell, a different version of the tool itself.

Nothing on this site should be run in production without being tested first in an environment you can discard.

Tools referenced in these notes are developed, published and maintained by their own authors. CliWorks does not host, mirror, package or redistribute any of it, has no control over it, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any project mentioned. Each entry links to the project's own documentation, which is the authoritative source.
